Awareness programs on road safety

District Collector Jitesh V Patil said that representatives of Red Cross Society should undertake awareness programs on road safety. A review meeting on road safety was held at Kamareddy Collectorate on Thursday. He said that 366 road accidents took place from January 1, 2022 to August 31. 572 of them died. It is suggested to organize village level awareness seminars under the auspices of Red Cross on precautions to be taken to prevent road accidents. The measures to be taken at the junctions where road accidents occur were discussed with the officials. Two-wheeler drivers are required to wear helmets. Road safety rules must be followed. SP Srinivas Reddy, RTO Vani, District Red Cross Society Chairman Rajanna, National Highway Officers, R&B and Panchayat Raj Department officials participated in the meeting.
