In view of the Dussehra festival, Rachakonda CP Sri Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has     extended his warm wishes to the citizens and instructed them to be vigilant about their valuables and follow Police instructions to avoid property offences.

CP advised the travelers not to keep their jewellery in bags if they opt for public transport while going to home towns and advised them to make sure that all doors, windows, terrace doors, and kitchen doors are securely locked and that the latches are in good working order.

CP advised the travelers to inform local relatives or friends or well-wishers to keep an eye on the house while going away and inform the local police station if necessary, as the local beat constable will keep an eye on the house. CP mentioned that installing CCTV cameras would provide round the clock security to their home and opined that installing a central locking system will help greatly as traditional locks are visible to everyone and easily indicate that the inhabitants are not currently home.

CP uttered that the Rachakonda Police taking all initiatives to give no space for property offences during Dussehra holiday like increased patrolling, checking suspects moving through neighborhoods, and keeping tabs on the movement of local and other state gangs of property offenders.
