Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay strongly condemned the alleged harassment and disrespect shown towards women officers by some state ministers, asserting that women’s dignity and safety are being gravely compromised under the current Congress regime. He demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy immediately order an impartial investigation and dismiss those responsible.

Speaking at a public meeting in Karimnagar, Bandi Sanjay said, “If ministers themselves are summoning women officers home and insulting them, it shows how the Congress government has failed women at every level. The Chief Minister should act decisively to uphold the respect and honour of women in governance.”

He also criticized the deteriorating law and order situation, pointing to rising incidents of violence, including attacks on police and the firing on cow vigilantes in broad daylight. “If rowdy sheeters are opening fire and threatening law enforcement, what protection do ordinary women have?” he asked, warning that the state was becoming unsafe for women, children, and vulnerable groups.

Condemning the political nexus between the ruling party and criminal elements, Bandi Sanjay said, “Congress leaders are busy bowing before MIM for votes, while women in Telangana are living in fear. This is not Indiramma Rajyam — this is betrayal of women’s trust.”

He reminded that the Congress government had failed to deliver its promises of financial assistance, scooters, and gold to women, leaving many betrayed. “The government that promised empowerment has instead delivered humiliation,” he remarked.

Calling for firm action against rowdy sheeters, the Union Minister said the government should “crush crime with an iron hand” and restore confidence among women. He appealed to the public to join the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 150 Unity March, urging everyone to draw inspiration from Patel’s courage and dedication to the nation’s unity and justice — values that, he said, must also guide the fight for women’s dignity today.
