The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate celebrated 23 years of its service on the occasion of its 24th Formation Day with a special commemorative programme held at T-Hub on Thursday. Over the years, the Commissionerate has emerged as a model for technology-driven and modern policing, earning widespread recognition for its progressive approach.

The event was attended by Director General of Police Shivdhar Reddy as the Chief Guest, along with Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh. Several former Commissioners and senior retired officials participated in the celebrations. Among them were former DGP Dr. M. Mahender Reddy, S. Prabhakar Reddy, Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Special Home Secretary C.V. Anand, V. Naveen Chand, and Sandeep Shandilya, who reflected on the remarkable journey and steady growth of the Commissionerate.

Addressing the gathering, former Commissioners stated that Cyberabad Police gained a distinct identity by adopting advanced technology and implementing modern policing strategies to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding urban region. They emphasized that transparency, public engagement, and swift service delivery remain the cornerstones of effective law enforcement.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Shivdhar Reddy praised the commitment and efficiency of the officers who served in Cyberabad, noting that their professionalism has elevated the Commissionerate’s reputation to national and international levels. Former DGP Dr. Mahender Reddy recalled that the establishment of the Commissionerate under the Metropolitan Act of 2003 provided a strong framework for contemporary policing practices.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh highlighted that, as an IT and industrial hub, the Cyberabad region requires continuous innovation in policing. He stated that efforts are ongoing to strengthen industry coordination, enhance cybersecurity measures, and utilize cutting-edge technology to improve public services. A special presentation showcasing the history, milestones, and key initiatives of Cyberabad Police was screened during the event, followed by the felicitation of former Commissioners and dignitaries.

Officials concluded that the 23-year journey of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate stands as a testament to its commitment to technology, coordination, and citizen-focused policing, setting a benchmark for modern law enforcement.
