Thousands of workers working in Singareni coal industry have been on strike for 15 days for the settlement of their just demands. As part of this, a dharna program was held for hours in front of the camp office of Ramagundam MLA of Peddapally district on Monday.

Contract workers across the coal belt area are participating in the strike.
As part of the contract workers' strike, protest programs are being held in full swing across Singareni. These agitation programs are being conducted under the auspices of JAC.

Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander has assured the workers that he is fully committed to solving the problems of thousands of contract workers working in the Singareni coal industry.
MLA Chander met the agitating contract workers.

He said that he has explained the matter of solving the problems of Singareni contract workers to the state minister KTR.
Also, MLA Chander promised on this occasion that he will bring it to the attention of the state Chief Minister KCR and work for a solution. Ramagundam Mayor Dr. Bangi Anil Kumar, Deputy Mayor Nadipelli Abhishekrao  along with many corporators and JAC leaders participated in this program.
