Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC-Autonomous), Hyderabad, hosted the two-day International Conference on Innovations in Digital Humanities through Artificial Intelligence (ICIDHAI-2026) on July 31 and August 1, bringing together scholars, researchers, and academicians from across India and abroad to discuss emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Humanities.

The conference, organized by the Department of Humanities and Sciences, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Managing Director Dr. H. S. Saini in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. C. Kalaiarasan, Director Dr. S. Sreenatha Reddy, Assistant Director Dr. B. Kedarnath, and other dignitaries.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. V. K. Karthika of the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in interdisciplinary research, while Dr. K. M. C. Kandharaja of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kanchipuram, led the plenary session. The conference featured four offline technical sessions and 30 online presentation tracks, with 262 research papers presented by academicians and researchers.

International experts, including Dr. Darshana Samaraweera from the National Institute of Education, Sri Lanka, Dr. Dana Radler of the Association for Language Learning, Romania, and Dr. Hatem Al-Shamea, Chief Editor of the ALT Literary Press Journal, United Kingdom, shared global perspectives on the evolving applications of Artificial Intelligence in education and the humanities.

Speakers stressed the importance of leveraging Digital Humanities and Artificial Intelligence to promote inclusive education, preserve cultural heritage, strengthen digital literacy, encourage ethical innovation, and support sustainable development.

The organizers thanked Hon’ble Vice Chairman Shri Gagandeep Singh Kohli and Hon’ble Managing Director Dr. H. S. Saini for their continued guidance and support in the successful conduct of the international conference.
