GNITC celebrates Graduation and Placement Day

Guru Nanak Institutions Technical Campus (GNITC) celebrated its Graduation and Placement Day on Saturday, with 1,172 graduates receiving their degree certificates and medals.

A total of 26 gold and silver medals were presented to the first and second toppers of various UG and PG programmes in memory of the institution’s Founder Chairman, late Sardar Tavinder Singh Kohli.

The management also distributed appointment letters and certificates of appreciation to 946 students selected by more than 169 multinational companies through on- and off-campus placement drives. TCS selected 66 students, followed by LTI Mindtree (48), HCL (46), Cognizant (46), Ronch Polymers (45) and several other companies. The highest package offered to an engineering student was Rs 40 lakh per annum by Mu Sigma, followed by Rs 14 lakh by Providence Global Center and Rs 10 lakh by RealPage.

GNITC also signed MoUs with Honeywell, Ziroh Labs, SAP, Garuda Aerospace, HCLTech, Wipro, Cognizant, Altair, Unistring Tech Solutions and Eduskills to strengthen students’ skills in emerging technologies.

Chief Guest Srilakshmi Kesari, Vice-President and Country HR Head, India, Lyric, advised graduates to focus on continuous learning, skill development, humility and the ability to handle workplace challenges.

Vice-Chairman of Guru Nanak Institutions and Chancellor of Guru Nanak University Sardar Gagandeep Singh Kohli congratulated the graduates and urged them to uphold the values and reputation of the institution.

Dr H.S. Saini, Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions and Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, said the real challenge begins after graduation and encouraged students to remain responsible, committed and focused on acquiring new skills.

Dr S. Sreenatha Reddy, Director, GNITC, Dr P. Parthasaradhy, Director Planning and Students Welfare-GNU, Dr Rishi Sayal, Associate Director, Dr S.V. Ranganayakulu, Dean-R&D, heads of departments, faculty members and students attended the event. Dr Tariq Hussain, HOD-IT, served as the convener.
