The dispute between the Ibrahimpatnam Municipal chairperson and the local councilors in Ibrahimpatnam municipality is getting worse day by day. The councilors of the chairman's own party have been expressing concern that Ibrahimpatnam municipal chairperson is involved in massive corruption. They alleged that the district collector, CCLA officials and local MLA are not taking action despite many complaints earlier. On Wednesday, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, who came to the opening ceremony of the newly constructed Kasturiba Gandhi Girls' Vidyalaya in Vinoba Nagar under Ibrahimpatnam Municipality, received a complaint from Ibrahimpatnam Councilors on Ibrahimpatnam Municipal Chairperson. They said that due to the corruption being done by the Chairperson they are also getting a stamp of corruption.

The 15 TRS Councilors have decided that if action is not taken against the chairperson, they will resign from the party membership and council post together. It was explained to the minister that they filed a complaint with the district collector and CCLA officials with a complete log of the corruption committed by the chairperson so far.
