District Medical and Health Department Officer Dr. Puppala Sridhar said that regarding the diseases that can be prevented by immunization, the immunization program should be implemented effectively He was the chief guest for a one-day training program organized for the medical officers and supervisors of all health centers across the district in Hall Attended.Speaking on this occasion, Sridhar said that the immunization program should be fully successful by over coming the small mistakes made by the staff at the field level Dr.Atul P Nigam, the representative of the World Health Organization, explained about the techniques to be adopted in the quick detection, collection of samples and surveillance of suspected polio, measles, rubella, contusion diseases as part of the staff's home visits at the field level Samples were collected from those children seen in the field with fever and rash and recorded as suspected MR (measles rubella), similarly, blood samples and throat swabs were also collected from young children who had cough for more than two weeks and were suspected of having diphtheria Collected.
