KTR Launches BRS Victory March, Targets Congress Failures
Hyderabad : Hyderabad: BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has called on voters in the Jubilee Hills constituency to “teach wisdom” to the Congress government in the upcoming by-election, asserting that only a BRS victory can safeguard Telangana’s development. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, KTR launched the party’s Jaitra Yatra from Jubilee Hills, emphasizing the constituency as the starting point for a state-wide campaign.

Addressing new entrants to the BRS, including former Sheikhpet BJP division president Thota Mahesh Mudiraj and his supporters, KTR welcomed them by draping pink scarves, signaling the party’s growing grassroots strength. He criticized the Congress for failing to deliver on promises, highlighting incomplete welfare schemes such as pensions for the elderly and financial support for women. “The hopes of the poor have been damaged. Congress has cheated all communities—farmers, women, and minorities alike,” KTR said.
He contrasted the current government with the KCR-led administration, recalling successful initiatives such as free drinking water, Basti hospitals, Rs. 5 meals, pensions, and Ramzan Tofa. KTR urged citizens not to allow Congress to continue its “negligent rule,” stating that deception should be defeated with decisive action at the ballot box.

The BRS leader underscored that the Jubilee Hills bypoll is not just a local contest but a symbolic fight for the state’s future. “All the poor, workers, and farmers of Telangana are watching Jubilee Hills. Your vote will decide the future of Telangana. We must protect the development achieved under KCR’s rule,” he said.
KTR’s remarks also targeted intra-party dynamics in the Congress, alleging a lack of coordination between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his ministers, and criticized the party’s attempt to woo voters with promises that have not materialized. He stressed that the Jaitra Yatra will set the tone for a broader campaign to restore BRS leadership in the state.
With polling scheduled for November 11, the BRS is positioning the by-election as a critical test of public sentiment, using Jubilee Hills as the launchpad for a campaign emphasizing governance, welfare, and continuity of development.
