Khel Mahotsav – 2026 was organized on a grand scale at Guru Nanak Institutions and Guru Nanak University, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff members.

The sports festival was formally inaugurated by Dr. H. S. Saini, Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak University and Managing Director of Guru Nanak Institutions, in the presence of senior academic leaders including Directors, Principals, Deans, and Heads of Departments. In his address, he highlighted the crucial role of sports in building discipline, leadership qualities, teamwork, and the overall personality development of students.

The Mahotsav was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. Parthasaradhy, Director – Planning and Student Welfare, who ensured systematic planning and smooth execution of the event. A series of competitive sporting events were held, showcasing high levels of energy, unity, and true sportsmanship among participants.

Gagandeep Singh Kohli, Vice Chairman of Guru Nanak Institutions and Chancellor of Guru Nanak University, conveyed his greetings through a special message. He appreciated the active involvement and commendable spirit displayed by the participants, stating that such initiatives significantly contribute to nurturing leadership skills, team spirit, discipline, and a healthy competitive outlook among students. He also extended his best wishes for continued success in academics and sports.
