Collector C. has given high priority to preserve the plants planted as part of Haritaharam program on both sides of all the main roads across the District Narayana Reddy suggested to the concerned authorities. He appealed to the people to contribute to the programs being carried out under the auspices of the district administration to enhance greenery. The Collector along with District Forest Officer Vikas Meena on Tuesday visited Sarangpur, Janakampet, Pocharam, Edapalli, Bodhan, Minar Palli, Edapalli, Bodhan, Kotagiri, Rudrur, Varni, Chandur, Mosra and other areas at the field level and inspected the avenue plantation. The Collector noticed the errors here and there and advised the officials to rectify them immediately. They want to plant trees extensively on both sides of the main roads so that there is no empty space anywhere, and they want to work with dedication to create a pleasant environment with greenery on both sides of the road. It was ordered to fix the tree guards and sticks and to plant new saplings in place of the destroyed and withered saplings. He said that measures should be taken by saucering around the plants and free from wild plants and grass. Officials of Forest Department, Employment Guarantee Department and other departments should work in coordination with each other and improve the situation on both sides of the roads. He stated that he should correct the defects within a week and improve the management of the plants, and he will come for inspection again next week. The collector warned that strict action will be taken against the concerned officials if there is no change in the situation even then. He said that work should be done to make the median area in the middle of the road attractively green with beautiful flower plants. The already planted Konacarpus plants should be seen to grow systematically in a dome shape. He said that the district administration would also provide other support, including providing employment guarantee labor if necessary for the maintenance of greenery. Meanwhile, officials have brought to the attention of the collector that the plants planted as part of the avenue plantation on both sides of the roads are being destroyed due to cattle. The Collector responded to this and ordered to take action as per the rules. People were asked to provide support for plant care. He said that the government is giving immense priority to greenery and through this program the rains are favorable due to the increase in forest area and greenery. Meanwhile, the Collector visited the Government Residential Girls' School at Edapally, which is on the way. As the school premises are full of wild plants, the concerned authorities have been directed to clean them immediately by the employment guarantee workers. He said that other issues should also be resolved on a war footing. The Collector was accompanied by Bodan Municipal Chairperson Tumu Padmasarath Reddy, ZP Vice Chairperson Rajitha Yadav, Bodan RDO Rajeshwar, officials of respective mandals and public representatives of local bodies were present.
