SSC Exams: Tight Security in Place
The Future City Police have put in place extensive security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the SSC Public Examinations scheduled from March 14 to April 16, 2026. Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, reviewed the arrangements and instructed officials to ensure that students are able to write their exams in a peaceful and hassle-free environment.
A total of 15,764 students are expected to appear for the examinations within the commissionerate limits. The exams will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. To maintain law and order, heavy police deployment will be made at every examination centre. Special escort teams will also provide security for the transportation of question papers and answer scripts.
The police have imposed strict restrictions on carrying cell phones, calculators, tablets, smart watches, pen drives and other electronic devices into examination centres. Prohibitory orders under BNSS Section 163 will be enforced around the centres to prevent gatherings. Photocopy centres near the exam venues will remain closed during examination hours, while special squads and plainclothes police personnel will keep a close watch to prevent paper leak rumours and malpractice.
Special traffic arrangements will also be made to help students reach their centres on time. Flying squads from the Maheshwaram, Shadnagar and Chevella zones have been formed to monitor the examination process. Shadnagar DCP C.H. Sirisha was also present during the review meeting along with other officials. The Police Commissioner warned that strict action would be taken against any irregularities and appealed to students and parents to cooperate for the peaceful conduct of the examinations.
