Khammam: As part of the Inter School Recycling Championship (ISRC) by ITC and Sarvagna, students at Sarvagna School, Khammam Vedivos Colony, were educated on dry waste management and recycling. The initiative included the collection of boxes, plastic covers, and bags, with students receiving stationery items of equivalent value. Recognizing that 20 trees are used to produce one ton of paper, the program aimed to collect 20 tons of waste paper from the school with 500 students. The recycling effort could save approximately 17 trees per ton of recycled paper, emphasizing the positive impact on the environment. The event, organized by Jagruti Sanstha in collaboration with the school management, ITC, and Earth Box, saw the participation of directors, school staff, and students, fostering awareness and environmental responsibility.
