Telangana Raj Bhavan Celebrates Uttarakhand’s State Foundation Day

Hyderabad: Telangana Raj Bhavan hosted a ceremonial program today to mark the State Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, with Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, as the chief guest. The event, held under the Government of India’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, brought together dignitaries and guests to celebrate the spirit and legacy of Uttarakhand.

In his address, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Uttarakhand, paying tribute to the visionaries and citizens who played pivotal roles in the formation of the state. Reflecting on the cultural bonds shared between Telangana and Uttarakhand, the Governor said, “As we celebrate Uttarakhand’s journey, we also celebrate the profound connections that have united Telangana and Uttarakhand over time. Uttarakhand, with its essence of purity, strength, and resilience, resonates deeply with the spirit of Telangana. The shared values, cultural traditions, and resilience that characterize Uttarakhand find a kinship in Telangana’s heritage.”

A video message from the Governor of Uttarakhand, expressing goodwill, was also shared during the event. The cultural program that followed included traditional Pahadi dances, folk songs, the devotional ‘Gowmata Bhajan,’ and a poem celebrating Uttarakhand’s rich cultural diversity.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Principal Secretary to the Governor, Sri B. Venkatesham, IAS; Geophysical Scientist and Padmashri Awardee, Sri Vijay Prasad Dimri; Sri Sunil Sharma, IAS (Retd.); Smt. Ahilash Bist, IPS; Sri Rajeev Benjwal, IRS; Sri Mohan Chandra Pargaien, IFS; Sri Chandra Balabh Malashi, IFS (Retd.); Brigadier Deep Chandra Sati; Joint Secretary to the Governor J. Bhavani Shankar, along with other senior officials and esteemed guests from Uttarakhand.
