Telangana Tourism Launches New Meta Account

DECCAN NEWS SERVICE | HYDERABAD : The Department of Tourism, Government of Telangana, organised a “Telangana Tourism Creator Meet” along with the official launch of its new Meta social media account at Plaza Hotel in Hyderabad with the objective of strengthening digital tourism promotion and expanding outreach through social media platforms.

Telangana Minister for Tourism, Culture, Prohibition & Excise, Archaeology and Museums Jupally Krishna Rao attended the programme and highlighted the importance of digital storytelling and influencer engagement in promoting Telangana’s tourism potential across national and international audiences.

The event was also attended by A. Vani Prasad, Gautami, L. Ranjeet Nayak, K. Lakshmi, A. Narasimha Reddy, Bala Chary and Prof. Venkat Ramana, who graced the occasion.

Officials stated that the newly launched Meta account aims to strengthen Telangana Tourism’s digital presence by promoting destinations, cultural heritage, festivals, cuisine and tourism experiences through engaging online content and influencer collaborations.

Around 50 influencers and representatives from nearly 20 print and electronic media organisations participated in the creator meet and interacted with tourism officials regarding digital campaigns and future tourism promotion initiatives.

The programme focused on encouraging content creators and media professionals to actively contribute towards showcasing Telangana’s tourism attractions, heritage sites, art, culture and hospitality sectors through innovative storytelling and social media engagement.

Tourism officials expressed confidence that the initiative would help enhance Telangana’s visibility as a major tourism destination and attract greater domestic and international tourist interest in the coming years.
