Virahat Ali Unanimously Elected TUWJ State President

Hyderabad: K. Virahat Ali, a senior journalist, was unanimously elected as the state president of the Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ). His election took place on the last day for nominations, December 29, as he submitted the only nomination. Virahat Ali, who served two terms as the state chief secretary, received support from district presidents, secretaries, and union members across the state.

Commitment to Journalists' Welfare and Media Freedom

Virahat Ali, in his acceptance speech, pledged to fight tirelessly for the welfare of working journalists, protection of their rights, and media freedom. He emphasized his unwavering dedication to addressing journalists' key issues, including health, safety, and housing.
