‘Ayudha Puja’ was celebrated on a grand note at Balanagar Police Station under Cyberabad Commissionerate on Wednesday. Inspector of Police Balanagar K. Bhaskar performed ‘Ayudha Puja’ along with Sub-Inspectors and ASI’s and staff members on the occasion of Dusserah. Inspector Bhaskar offered puja to the Guns, Computers and Patrol cars and other armaments which were duly cleaned and decorated with flowers usually handled by the officials and staff members.

Speaking on the occasion Inspector Bhaskar extended wishes to the police officials and citizens on the Dusserah festival and stated that the Vijayadashami festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. He also added Astra Puja is performed to worship all the implements used by them for law enforcement, this is performed for the safety of the humans using them. He also said police are always with the good citizens and act against the violators of the law. Among those who accompanied Inspector Bhaskar were SI’s K. Harish, C. Sharath Kumar, T. Sarala, Maqbool Pasha, ASI’s G. Manyam and Sangameshwar along with men and women constables.
