TPCC chief Revanth Reddy urged the state government to allocate land for Nikhat Zareen for establishing sports academy in the state. He attended the felicitation ceremony of boxing champion Nikhat Zareen as a chief guest under the auspices of TPCC at Nizam Club. Along with congress leaders, he felicitated Zareen. The state government has the proposal to appoint Zareen as group 1 officer and the government should appoint her as group 1 officer before January 26th, said Revanth. He said honouring Zareen’s victory, the party sanctioned Rs 5 lakhs as cash prize. He said the prize money was given to give a message that the Congress party will be with Zareen. He said this program is organised to encourage sportspersons cutting across party lines. He said sportsmanship is essential even in politics. We are organising these programs to bring that spirit in politics, he said. He said Nikhat Zareen was encouraged by her parents and that they should be appreciated for that. Another felicitation ceremony for Nikhat Zareen is essential to give motivation to lakhs of sportspersons, he said.   Boxing champion Nikhat Zareen expressed happiness for arranging a felicitation ceremony. She thanked for announcing cash prize. Zareen said with everyone’s support, she will make the country proud in sports.
