Several Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Corporators and leaders were placed under "house arrest" by the police on Tuesday following the arrest of party MLA P Kaushik Reddy.

In Kukatpally Constituency, KPHB Corporator Mandadi Srinivasa Rao and Constituency Coordinator Satish Arora were placed in preventive custody at their residences. A significant police presence was observed outside the residences of several BRS leaders in Kukatpally.

This action comes after the arrest of BRS legislator from the Huzurabad constituency, Kaushik Reddy, on Monday. Reddy was arrested in connection with a case registered against him for allegedly abusing Jagityal legislator Sanjay Kumar during a district review committee meeting in Karimnagar on January 12. Three cases were registered against Kaushik Reddy following a heated argument that erupted between him and Sanjay Kumar at the meeting.
