Literature: A Catalyst for Social Consciousness

A two-day national conference on "Vallampatla Literature - Social Consciousness" was held at Kakatiya University's Commerce and Business Management Seminar Hall. The event, presided over by Acharya Banna Ailaiah, highlighted the profound connection between literature and social consciousness.

Dr. Vallampatla Nageshwar Rao, a renowned intellectual, served as the keynote speaker, emphasizing the inseparable link between literature and social awareness. He praised literature for making people cognizant of government programs through various art forms, stressing the pivotal role of social consciousness.

The conference witnessed discussions on literature as a tool for social awareness, with a focus on Vallampatla's life as a research topic. Distinguished guest B.S. Ramulu acknowledged Vallampatla Nageswara Rao's five-decade dedication to eradicating social ills and building a new society.

Environmentalists, poets, writers, and university authorities, including Professor Ratan Singh Thakur and Anishetti Rajitha, actively participated. Dr. Kumara Swamy Garu and Dr. Tammishetti Sambasiva Rao, both with doctorates from Kakatiya University, were also acknowledged for their significant contributions in their respective fields.

Congratulations poured in for Dr. Kumara Swamy Garu, who completed his thesis on "Design and Performance Evolution of Resonant Converters for Induction Heating Applications" at NIT Jamshedpur.

In another achievement, Dr. Tammishetti Sambasiva Rao, a researcher from Kakatiya University's Sociology Department, was recognized for his doctoral work on "Problems and Prospects of Disability Students in Higher Education – A Study in Khammam District of Telangana State."

The ceremony celebrated their academic accomplishments, showcasing the university's commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering social consciousness through literature.
