Rangoli competition witness good response to mark Sankranti festival

Rangoli competitions were organised in Raju Colony, Balanagar by Balanagar division Corporator Avula Ravinder Reddy to mark the Sankranti festival on Sunday. Addressing the participants Corporator Ravinder Reddy underlined the need for passing on the Telugu heritage and culture of Rangoli to the future generations. Reddy praised the women participants for displaying their hidden talents in preparing glorious Rangoli designs. 

Speaking on the occasion MLA Krishna Rao said, Sankranti festival is celebrated in such a way as to dazzle the culture and traditions of the Telugu people. He wished Sankranti to the Telugu people in advance, saying that the CM KCR had laid a big platform for the Telangana farmers by granting Rythu bandhu. About 85 women took part in the competition.

MLA Krishna Rao complimented women for reflecting the Telugu traditions in their 'Rangoli' works. He remarked that the works seem to have ushered in the festival celebrations. The MLA Krishna Rao advised women not to forget 'Rangoli' as it shows our traditions. He congratulated the first three winners, after handing over the prizes to them, He congratulated and appreciated the Corporator and his team. Among those who were present are Allapur Corporator Sabiha Ghouseuddin, Division General Secretary Mohammed Khaja, Senior leaders Mandadi Sudhakar Reddy, Yedla Mohan Reddy, Srinivas Raju, Krishna Murthy, Shanakar Goud, Kandula Ramesh, Mahankali Suri, Mahila Leaders Kavitha Kathurya, Swetha, Madhulatha, Sujatha and others were present.
