Five must books on Indian Freedom Movement captured by authors ranging from Kushwant Singh to Sashi Tharoor in their inimitable style and flow. Two of the books are fiction while two are narratives tracing the freedom struggle from early days while one is a detailed account of the atrocities committed on Indians and the hardships they faced during the British Raj. There could be other books as well on the subject, the five books are my choice and endorsed by millions over the year. The regional books and leaders too have their great contribution in word and deed but the yardstick being world wide acceptance, the five books were picked.
