Cherukumalli Srinivasa Rao Appointed Director of IARI
Delhi: Cherukumalli Srinivasa Rao has been appointed as the Director of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI). Currently serving as the Director of the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Srinivasa Rao becomes the first Telugu person to lead IARI.
Born on October 4, 1965, in Anigandlapadu, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, Srinivasa Rao completed his B.Sc. in Agriculture from Bapatla Agricultural College. He earned his MSc and PhD from IARI, Delhi, and completed post-doctoral work at Tel-Aviv University, Israel. Srinivasa Rao has held various research positions at leading institutes in India.
