Cracking Civil Services in the First Attempt Requires Strategy and Discipline: P. Krishna Pradeep
HYDERABAD: P. Krishna Pradeep, Chairman of 21st Century IAS Academy, addressed students of Malla Reddy Engineering College during a seminar titled “How to Crack Civil Services on First Attempt,” organized by G5 Media Group and the academy.
In his speech, Pradeep highlighted the crucial role of bureaucrats in shaping the nation’s future. “It is the bureaucrats, not politicians, who can truly change the future of our nation. Even the Prime Minister relies on IAS officers for effective implementation of policies,” he said. He encouraged even average students to aspire for civil services, stating, “One does not need to be extraordinary to succeed in the UPSC.”
Dr. Bhavani Shankar, Chief Mentor of the academy, stressed the importance of strategy, discipline, and time management in cracking the civil services exam on the first attempt. “Time once lost cannot be regained,” he remarked, urging aspirants to focus on understanding the UPSC syllabus and building a solid foundation of knowledge, including topics from the 6th standard curriculum, which often appear in the examination.
Dr. Ramaswami Reddy, Principal of MREC, elaborated on the prestige of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, noting that it offers 24 categories of services, including IAS, IPS, and IFS. He pointed out that few aspirants genuinely aim to gain legitimate authority and make impactful decisions for the country.
The seminar also saw the launch of exclusive study materials authored by the academy’s experts. These resources were inaugurated by Dr. Ramaswami Reddy, P. Krishna Pradeep, Dr. Bhavani Shankar, and G5 Media's Giri Prakash. The study materials are now available in the academy’s library to assist students in their preparation for the civil services examination.
