District Libraries as Knowledge Repositories: Mayor Neeraja Launches Library Week

Khammam City Mayor Punukollu Neeraja highlighted the role of district libraries as vital storehouses of knowledge during the launch of Library Week activities on Thursday at the district library center. She praised the achievements of 12 government teachers who secured positions through the district library organization’s platform via the DSC notification, emphasizing the libraries' role in providing free access to resources that enabled candidates to qualify without the need for expensive private coaching.
The mayor expressed her satisfaction with the success of unemployed candidates who leveraged the district libraries to prepare for exams, making libraries a vital resource for free education. The event was attended by In-charge Secretary Arjun, District Library Union President KVSLN Raju, Union Secretary MD Imam, and library staff, including Bhaskar Akhil, Kanakavalli, Babu, Ravi Babu, Lalitha Kumari, Srinivas, and Rohit.
