Ghulam Nabi is now Azad( free) and no more gulam to party head( slave) as he left the Congress party to which he got 50 years old association as a party worker and a national  leader occupying many positions. When country celebrating Azadi ka Amrit mahosthav , Ghulam Nabi Azad announced his azadi( freedom) from Congress party quoting many reasons. With this meaning one cartoon is viral in social media saying Ghulam Nabi Azad no more  gulam and he is azad( free) to join any party or start a new political party in Jammu and Kashmir.

He is one of the members of G23 who gave a note to Congress high command on its affairs  and how to bring party close to people. But all were isolated without taking into consideration their view points.The problem of the Congress party is it is unable to amalgamate with old and new generation. Though many seniors at national and state levels played great role in running the government under Congress party governance as well as during UPA coalition, since the pan India spread of BJP with its alliance parties ,Congress party lost shine and became dull and lost confidence of people due to one reason or other and unfortunately Congress party could not overcome BJP psunami except in some parts of the country as there is no strong leader like Indira and Rajiv Gandhi who can influence people with their charm. Though Sonia Gandhi became head of the party, somehow Congress did not get required past glory as BJP gained in many states.

As Sonia Gandhi is not in good health to look after party affairs all over the country, her son Rahul Gandhi has been behind the screen looking after every thing in the party though he refused to take up the party but behind the screen running the show. One in dilemma whether Rahul belongs to young generation or middle of young and old generation. Acting behind the screen with the support of his mother he totally failed to strengthen party irrespective of coming to power. As rightly said by Azad Rahul Gandhi he is yet to get maturity as a national leader on par with his father Rajiv Gandhi when latter left pilot job to join the Congress party to lead the country at a very young age. But Rahul Gandhi could not reflect Rajiv politically. If the media mills are believed ,many senior leaders might desert Congress party either to join any other party or take rest. Whatever it may be ,many Congress leaders both seniors and juniors are not happy the way party affairs handled by mother and son. It looks they too are in great confusion at cross roads how to bring back the old glory of Congress party but in the mean time many may leave the party for the inefficient leadership to infuse confidence among the cadre and leaders for good days for the party. As Rahul Gandhi is adamant not to take over party as national high command for reasons best known to him, there is a big vacuum for national leadership as Sonia Gandhi can not run the party with ill health.

Now need of the hour for Congress party is to choose a leader with true leadership qualities, charming personality to gain confidence of the people to revive the party and to bring back good leaders who left the party or away from it for various reasons sacrificing everything for the party with clean image ofcourse from outside Nehru- Indira dynasty. Let the time decide the fate of Congress whether it will be revived pan India or confined to Delhi office in a suffocating atmosphere with party leaders and a few sycophants  around consoling them. Before starting Bharath Jodo( Unite India) programme ,better to prevent Congress Chodo( Leave Congress) mindset of senior leaders and begin measures for Congress Jodo( Unite Congress) campaign.
