Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle Announced in Telangana

In a significant administrative overhaul, the Telangana government has issued transfer orders for several senior IAS officers, leading to a major reshuffle across key departments. The reassignments are aimed at strengthening governance and bringing a fresh approach to various sectors.

Senior officer Shashank Goel, previously DG of MCRHRD, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Centre for Good Governance and DG, EPTRI (FAC). Jayesh Ranjan, who was the Special Chief Secretary for IT, Industries, and Sports, will now also serve as CEO of the Industry and Investment Cell in the CMO, along with additional charges related to Youth Affairs and Tourism.

Sanjay Kumar has been moved to head Industries and Commerce, while M Dana Kishore, former Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration Department, has been shifted to Labour, Employment, Training, and Factories Department.

In another crucial move, Smita Sabharwal joins the Telangana Finance Commission as a member, while TK Sreedevi will oversee Municipal Administration outside the HMDA limits.

K Ilambarithi, earlier GHMC Commissioner, will now serve as Secretary for Metropolitan Area and Urban Development. KV Raman has been appointed the new GHMC Commissioner.

Several other important changes include K Shashanka taking over as Commissioner of the Future City Development Authority, and S Harish being given additional charge in the Revenue Department. K Nikhila has been assigned the role of Secretary of the Telangana Human Rights Commission.

Furthermore, P Katyanayini Devi was made Additional CEO of SERP, while officers like EV Narasimha Reddy, B Hemant Sahadeorao, G Phaneendra Reddy, and others have also received key postings to enhance administrative efficiency.

The reshuffle highlights the state government’s intent to revamp administrative leadership across departments and improve service delivery.
