NTPC SRHQ Ties Up with Gandhi Hospital
Deccan News Service | Hyderabad : NTPC Southern Region Headquarters (SRHQ) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Society for Improvement of Teaching Hospital, Gandhi Hospital, to strengthen medical infrastructure and enhance public healthcare facilities in Telangana. The MoA was signed on Thursday as part of NTPC’s continued commitment to community welfare and sustainable healthcare development.
Under the agreement, NTPC SRHQ will provide financial support for the procurement of advanced medical equipment for the Orthopaedics Department and for the installation of modern autopsy dissection tables with shadow-less lamps in the hospital’s mortuary unit. These facilities are expected to significantly improve patient care services while also enhancing academic and training capabilities at the premier teaching hospital.
The MoA was signed in the presence of Chief General Manager (HR) – NR & South S. N. Panigrahi. NTPC SRHQ AGM (HR) Akhil Pattnaik signed the agreement on behalf of NTPC, while Dr. Vani, Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital and Additional District Medical Officer, represented Gandhi Hospital.
Gandhi Hospital, one of Telangana’s leading tertiary care and referral hospitals, caters to thousands of patients from across the state, particularly from economically weaker sections. By supporting the acquisition of specialised medical equipment, NTPC aims to contribute to improved clinical outcomes, strengthened medical education, and enhanced public health infrastructure.
Officials stated that the collaboration reflects NTPC’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility vision, focusing on sustainable community development through targeted interventions in healthcare, education, and capacity building, with special emphasis on benefiting vulnerable sections of society.
