Priyanka Chekka IAS Takes Charge as I&PR Special Commissioner

Ch. Priyanka Chekka, IAS, took charge as the Special Commissioner of the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department in Telangana on Monday. She met senior officials and reviewed current communication campaigns.
Speaking after taking charge, Priyanka said she aims to improve the way the government shares information with the public. "Our focus will be on timely and clear communication," she said.
Priyanka is a 2018 batch IAS officer and has worked in various key roles across the state. She is known for her efficient and people-friendly work style.
Department staff welcomed her and said they look forward to working under her leadership. They expect her to bring new ideas and improve digital communication.
The I&PR Department handles media coordination, public campaigns, and promotes government programs. With Priyanka now in charge, the department is expected to become more effective and citizen-focused.
