Hyderabad: BRS Legislative Assembly Opposition Leader Madhusudana Chari, former MLAs T. Jeevan Reddy and Mohammed Shakeel Amir, along with senior BRS leaders Palle Ravikumar, Kishore Goud, Salman Khan, and several minority representatives, met Chief Electoral Officer Sudarshan Reddy at BRK Bhavan on Wednesday.

The delegation lodged a formal complaint demanding immediate action against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his alleged derogatory comments on Muslims during the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign. The leaders termed the remarks as divisive and a serious violation of the Model Code of Conduct, calling for the Election Commission’s intervention to ensure fairness in the ongoing electoral process.

Additionally, the BRS team submitted a separate memorandum urging strict action against those involved in recent attacks targeting Muslims. They alleged that such incidents were being ignored by the state administration and sought protection for the affected families.

The BRS delegation urged the CEO to maintain peace, neutrality, and communal harmony during the election period, warning that unchecked inflammatory statements and targeted violence could disturb public order.
