Balanagar ACP Stresses Importance of Surveillance

Balanagar ACP Hanumantha Rao emphasized the pivotal role of CCTV cameras in effective crime control. On Tuesday, he inaugurated 15 CCTV cameras installed at Sri Kanakadurga Devi Temple in Raju Colony, Balanagar along with Balanagar CI Narasimha Raju.

Speaking on the occasion, ACP Hanumantha Rao highlighted the significant impact of CCTV surveillance on crime reduction. He likened a single CCTV camera to the equivalent of a hundred police officers. By deterring criminal activity and aiding in investigations, CCTV cameras have proven to be invaluable assets in maintaining law and order.

ACP Rao urged citizens and local representatives to actively participate in the installation of CCTV cameras across the police station's jurisdiction. He stressed the importance of self-protection through surveillance, particularly for women and girls.

The ACP also issued a stern warning to the youth, advising them to steer clear of anti-social activities and substance abuse. He underscored the responsibility of parents in guiding their children towards a positive future. 

To address any emergencies or concerns, women and girls were advised to contact Dial 100 or the SHE Team. Additionally, all road users were urged to strictly adhere to traffic rules. The event was attended by SI Subash, PC Ravinder and members of the temple committee including Muniraju, Balakrishna, Venkat Reddy, Hanumanth, Gopal Krishna, Surender, Ashok(Tyson) and others were present.
