Excise STF Seized About 3.342 Kgs Ganja in Mangalhat, Arrested Two


In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Special Task Force team (STF) seized over 3.342 kilograms of ganja (cannabis) in two raids conducted on Sunday in Mangalhat area. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the cases.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF team raided a house located at in the Mutton Market area of Dhoolpet, under the Mangalhat police station. During the raid, they seized 1.234 kilograms of ganja from a person identified as Raja Singh. In a separate operation conducted in the Aljipur area, the STF team apprehended another individual named Rahul Singh and recovered 2.1 kilograms of ganja from his possession.
While Anji Reddy, Superintendent of Excise and Team leader of the STF team confirmed that a total of 3.342 kilograms of ganja was seized in these two raids," he informed. He further added that while Raja Singh and Rahul Singh were arrested, Rahul Singh, Manasa Vishal Singh and Rahul are currently absconding and a search is underway to apprehend them.
Apart from Ganja the STF team also recovered two mobile phones from the arrested accused. Dhoolpet Excise Police Station officials including CI Madhu Babu Gopal, SI Saidulu, Head Constables Bhaskar, Azim Sridhar, Excise Constables Prakash, Rakesh and Mahesh participated in the raids. Director of Excise Enforcement V.B. Kamalasan Reddy, lauded the STF team for their swift action and successful seizure of the illegal drugs.
