Deccan News Service | Khammam : Telangana State Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday unveiled the New Year calendar of the Deccan Vision English daily at his camp office in the Khammam district headquarters.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister underscored the vital role of the media as a bridge between the government and the people. He said newspapers and other media platforms should actively contribute to taking government welfare schemes to the grassroots and ensuring that information reaches every eligible beneficiary.

Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the Congress government in Telangana remains committed to standing by the eligible poor and implementing welfare programmes in an effective manner. He observed that awareness among the people is crucial for the success of welfare initiatives and urged the media to focus on people-centric and informative reporting.
He lauded the Deccan Vision English daily for the quality of its news coverage and extended his best wishes to Editor K.Ameer Amanulla Khan and Joint Khammam District Bureau In-charge Sheikh Jani Pasha. He appreciated the newspaper for consistently publishing reports on government programmes and developmental activities across Telangana, including the Madhira Assembly constituency.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that responsible journalism strengthens democracy by promoting transparency and accountability, while also helping to build public trust in governance.
