Tirupati, September 20, 2022:

Urology Awareness Month is observed every September to raise the profile of urology health. Urinary incontinence is one of the major urological problems affecting both men and women.
Talking on this subject, Dr. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Urologist, Narayanadri Hospital, Tirupati, said, "Urinary incontinence is the loss of bladder control and is a common and often embarrassing problem due to which people tend to get depressed. The severity ranges from occasionally leaking urine when you cough or sneeze to having an urge to urinate that's so sudden and strong that you can’t get to the toilet in time. Though it occurs more often as people get older, urinary incontinence isn't an inevitable consequence of ageing."
All doctors and urologists take the opportunity to raise awareness and encourage people who are suffering from urinary incontinence to come forward and seek medical help. Early diagnosis of the condition can help to stay healthy. Don't hesitate to see your doctor if urinary incontinence affects your daily activities. For most people, simple lifestyle and dietary changes or medical care can treat symptoms of urinary incontinence.
