Kedari Is WJI District VP
Deccan News Service | Karimnagar : A new executive committee of the Working Journalists of India (WJI), the global affiliate of the BMS, was elected on Monday during the organisation’s general meeting held at a banquet hall in Karimnagar. Senior journalist Narsini Kedari was unanimously elected as the Karimnagar District Vice President, receiving widespread appreciation from members and well-wishers.
Speaking after her election, Kedari said she would work relentlessly to address the issues faced by journalists across the district. She affirmed her commitment to safeguarding press rights, strengthening the unity of media professionals, and ensuring that journalists receive timely support in their professional duties. She added that she would focus on creating an efficient mechanism to resolve long-pending grievances.
Journalists, public representatives, officials, friends, and supporters congratulated her on the new responsibility and expressed confidence that her experience and dedication would strengthen WJI’s activities in Karimnagar.
Kedari extended her gratitude to WJI State General Secretary Ravikanti Srinivas, State Vice President Taduri Karunakar, State Secretary Shiva Naduni Pramod, State Executive Member T. Satyanarayana, and Jammikunta Press Club President Ambala Prabhakar for their constant encouragement and cooperation in her election to the district committee.
The general meeting also discussed organisational responsibilities, future programmes, and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of journalists. Members expressed hope that the newly elected team would bring renewed momentum to WJI’s mission of protecting journalistic values and enabling better working conditions.
