Hyderabad: Congress MP Mallu Ravi on Monday participated in a house-to-house campaign in Borabanda division of Jubilee Hills constituency, appealing to voters to support the Congress candidate Naveen Yadav in the upcoming by-election.

The campaign saw the participation of MLC Vijayashanti, State Mahila Congress President Sunitha Rao, MLAs Ramachander Nayak and Mandula Samelu, Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, senior leader Baba Fasiuddin, and several local leaders and party activists. The campaign attracted enthusiastic participation from residents, with Congress cadres engaging directly with voters across local neighborhoods.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Vijayashanti sharply criticized the BRS regime, describing it as a “family rule” under former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. “For ten years, KCR and his family plundered the people of Telangana. Instead of developing the state, they pushed it into debt. They lived in luxury while citizens struggled for basic amenities,” she alleged.

She also condemned the BRS leadership for using derogatory language against the Congress candidate. “An educated person from their side calls Naveen Yadav a thief and rowdy. I ask — are there any greater thieves than those who looted Telangana for ten years?” Vijayashanti said, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

Appealing to the electorate, she urged people to vote for the Congress symbol — the hand — and send Naveen Yadav to the Assembly to strengthen Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s vision for Hyderabad’s inclusive growth.

The campaign in Borabanda reflected growing enthusiasm among Congress workers as the party intensified its ground-level efforts ahead of the November 11 by-election in Jubilee Hills.
