Raksha Mantri Reviews Combined Graduation Parade at Air Force Academy

Today, at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Telangana, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh oversaw the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP), celebrating the successful completion of training for 213 Flight Cadets. This included 25 women commissioned into various branches of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

In his address, Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated the officers on their precision and high standards, urging them to embrace new ideas and innovation while maintaining a balance with tradition. He emphasized the importance of avoiding stagnation in the system and staying adaptable to evolving times.

The ceremony included the President's Commission being conferred on the graduating Flight Cadets, with eight officers from the Indian Navy, nine from the Indian Coast Guard, and two from friendly countries also receiving 'Wings' after completing their flying training.

The event featured a General Salute, an impressive march past, and a 'Commissioning Ceremony' where Flight Cadets were awarded their 'Stripes' by the Raksha Mantri. Various awards were presented, including the President's Plaque and Chief of the Air Staff Sword of Honour.

The CGP concluded with the newly commissioned officers marching out to Rabindranath Tagore's 'Anandaloke,' followed by a grand finale featuring an aerobatic show by Su-30MKI, synchronized aerobatics by the helicopter display team 'Sarang,' and the 'SuryaKiran’ Aerobatic Team.
