Tension in Manuguru: Congress Workers Attack BRS Office
Manuguru: Tension erupted at the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party office in Manuguru, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, on Friday, when a group of Congress workers attacked the premises.
According to local sources, the attackers set fire to office furniture and tore down flex banners displayed at the BRS office. The incident caused panic among party members present at the site, though no injuries were reported.
Congress leaders alleged that the BRS office had been constructed on government land, claiming this as the reason for their protest. However, BRS representatives strongly denied the charges, stating that the office was legally acquired and that the attack was politically motivated, aimed at intimidating party workers ahead of upcoming local elections.
The police reached the spot shortly after the incident and registered a complaint against the attackers. Law enforcement officials stated that an investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend those involved.
Local residents expressed shock over the violent incident, highlighting rising tensions between political parties in the area. Party sources added that such actions only strengthen their resolve to continue working for the constituency.
BRS leaders condemned the attack and urged authorities to take strict action to prevent further political violence in the district.
